Features

  • KMC-HIS Series are performance-driven, high speed double-column machining centers providing cost-effective solutions.
  • All 3–axes employ V3 grade, oversized, maximum–preloaded liner roller guideways.
  • The Y–axis step design of the dual guideways, which are separately located on the lateral and top sides of the crossbeam, greatly increases rigidity.
  • Main spindle features inline direct–drive spindle that is coupled directly to the motor. This provides super smooth cutting performance and reduces operating heat for greater thermal stability.
  • The spindle head is symmetrically designed so the spindle centre line is up against Y-axis way to prevent thermal displacement when measuring on X-axis.
  • Specially designed base whereby column and crossbeam structures are optimized using FEA Finite Element Analysis.
  • A properly preloaded and pretensioned, large diameter ballscrew is used for all three axes. The X–axis has a hollow ballscrew with oil cooled and is equipped with a special design to cool the ballscrew bearings by air for better positioning accuracy.
  • The Z–axis hydraulic counter balance system is equipped standard with dual cylinders.
  • Strict multi stress–relief treatment during the manufacturing process keeps the main structures, such as table etc., stable.
