Features

  • The EP Series Plano Machining Centre is equipped with a Movable crossbeam (W-axis). The 4-axes control provides the machine with 5-face (multi-face) machining capability.
  • Optimized and minimized machining ranges can be accomplished under the mutual movement function between Z (700mm) and W (1100mm) axes for varied workpieces.
  • For the movement of carriages, roller-type recirculating bearings are integrated with the X and Y box ways.
  • The mounting brackets for W-axis ballscrews are integrated with the columns to further maximize the rigidity.
  • FEA Fine Element Analysis method of the main machine structure is used to ensure the best rigidity and optimum design.
  • A ram-type casted spindle head with a cross section of 400 x 400mm ensures high rigidity and stability under heavy-duty cutting.
  • The spindle and motor are symmetrically put on the centre line of the ram.
  • Horizontal spindle has high-precision hardened and ground spiral bevel gears that can reduce shock and noises effectively to ensure running stability.
  • A 2-station AAC Automatic Attachment Changer is standard along with the heads for vertical-head and horizontal-head changes.
  • For versatile applications optional automatic universal head, 30° angle head and extension head are available.
